Care2 helps nonprofits find new supporters and raise vital funds through digital solutions, including email and SMS donor lead acquisition, integrated fundraising, and programmatic advertising opportunities. We're looking for a driven and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team and play a crucial role in expanding our reach and impact within the nonprofit sector. Specifically, we're looking for an individual who has experience licensing data for digital advertising and strong relationships with DSPs, DMPs, and LiveRamp. This role will lead our efforts to expand sales of our proprietary first-party data through digital ad platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development: Identify, qualify, and secure new business partnerships with nonprofits, focusing on selling our email and SMS donor leads, fundraising tools, and programmatic advertising solutions.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing nonprofit clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and success with our services.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market penetration within the nonprofit sector.
Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of Care2's products and services, effectively communicating their value proposition to potential clients.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless client experience and drive overall business growth.
Qualifications:
Proven Track Record: A minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, sales, or business development, with a demonstrable track record of success in selling to nonprofits or working with nonprofit clients within a digital or fundraising agency.
Nonprofit Expertise: A deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, including fundraising challenges, communication needs, and the importance of audience engagement.
Digital Advertising Knowledge: Experience in selling targeted advertising solutions, including programmatic advertising, to nonprofit organizations or agencies serving the nonprofit sector.
Sales Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
Self-Motivation: A high level of self-motivation, drive, and resilience, with a strong desire to achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's growth.
Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving market trends and client needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fundraising Experience: Direct experience in nonprofit fundraising or working closely with fundraising professionals.
Salesforce Familiarity: Experience using Salesforce to track leads, manage client relationships, and analyze sales performance.
Compensation:
Base salary range - $65,000-$100,000, plus commission
