DATA ANALYST – MMI Direct, Columbia, MD or Remote

MMI Direct (a division of the PMG Family), a direct marketing data management firm in
Columbia, MD, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst to work with our
nonprofit clients and their creative agencies on direct marketing fundraising programs. At MMI,

protecting the environment, finding cures and more.
The Data Analyst is responsible for collaborating with internal Account Managers, interpreting
their requirements and the needs of their external clients while setting up and processing
complex data workflows. They will process data within specifications to assure adherence to US Postal Service requirements and then output data in formats required by clients. The role also works in collaboration with sister company, MailSmart Logistics, preparing the files for
commingle processing.
The Data Analyst will develop and maintain documentation of programs; and organize and
effectively manage workload demands. The ideal candidate will identify and pursue
opportunities to improve quality assurance and increase process efficiencies.
Candidates who can juggle and prioritize multiple tasks and competing demands in a high energy, supportive team environment will thrive in this position. The ideal candidate is also a
self‐starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
The position requires proficiency (5+ years) of working on data sets with a high aptitude for
quality control, commitment to accuracy, data integrity and process improvement. Skills in the
following areas are required: data manipulation, data hygiene, USPS standardization and
regulatory knowledge, and creation and modification of stored procedures and data conversion
between various data formats. Prior experience with data quality software such as Precisely
Data/Group 1 products or BCC Mail Manager is preferred.
Education and Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in data processing, preferably in direct marketing or direct mail
industries. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.
Candidates must have exceptional time management and organizational skills and a positive and personable manner, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Attention to detail is a must. Competence in Microsoft Office and Teams is required. Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise is desired. Must be eager to work on a team and independently.

This full‐time, exempt position offers a typical salary range of $58,000 ‐ $65,000. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, geography, education and proficiency with the required software tools.
The full compensation package includes flexibility around core workday hours, and a benefits
package including health, dental, vision, 401k, profit sharing and ESOP retirement plans, along
with professional development opportunities. Candidates from the following states in the
