Speaker:  Karen Barr, Managing Director, Individual Giving, Share Our Strength | No Kid Hungry

Karen serves as Managing Director, Individual Giving for Share Our Strength | No Kid Hungry. In her role, Karen leads an awesome and passionate team to set the vision and then develop strategies to help Share Our Strength reach mission-critical revenue targets for the Individual Giving team. The ultimate goal is to meet the needs of individual donors and prospects to support our program work to help the millions of kids living with hunger in the United States. 

Prior to joining Share Our Strength in 2023, Karen served as Managing Director, Supporter Experience at Save the Children. She is very active in the non-profit community and is a frequent speaker at conferences in the areas of direct response and mid-level. 

Karen has over 25 years of experience and her background includes marketing strategy, fundraising, communications/branding, project management, budget management and development, program/campaign development, program/campaign optimization and fundraising analysis. Karen has extensive experience developing and growing direct response and mid-level programs across various channels/sources and leading successful teams. 

Karen lives in Connecticut with her husband and daughter Kandace. 



Speaker:  Chris Pangretic, Senior Vice President, Integral

Chris joined Integral in 2010 and consistently works to provide actionable insights to the questions that keep our clients up at night. Chris loves a challenge and is always seeking out new solutions while evaluating our clients’ most complex programs. With his background in direct response and fundraising, Chris has always let data take the driver’s seat. There are no biases here, ROI is always at the top of his mind.  

Chris is a graduate of Radford University. When “The Slicer” is not at work, he spends his time yelling “fore” on the golf course or just relaxing in the “low country” in his home in Charleston, South Carolina. 

At Integral, Chris serves as a Sr. Vice President and has supported organizations such as Covenant House, Operation Smile, Save the Children, No Kid Hungry, CARE, Greenpeace, AARP Foundation and many more. 

As the SVP, Chris acts as the Executive Sponsor or Advisor for the clients he serves and drives long-term strategic planning, decision-making and risk mitigation proposals by providing a high-level, multiyear projection of our revenues and accompanying investments.   

His focus is based on the end-in-mind and foundational values and will create plans that will ensure there is buy-in to the Multi Year Model Plan across the Enterprise. 

This include Investment ManagementSustainer GrowthDigital StrategyMid-Level program development, Planned Giving, Peer to Peer, Corporate & Foundation Giving, Events (to name a few) and will ensure that the approach seeks to measure, understand, and grow the audience segments that are highly motivated to deliver on the Business Objective and guiding principles.
